Darryl Christner

Founder

The Darryl & Julie Christner Family Foundation was established in December 2023 by Darryl Christner, who approached this new chapter with genuine enthusiasm and purpose. A year before his passing, Darryl set out to create something lasting—an organization rooted in his desire to make the community a better place for everyone, especially those struggling with mental health.

Darryl was a devoted husband, father, and business leader who spent over 30 years helping build John Christner Trucking (JCT) into one of the largest refrigerated trucking companies in the nation. As CFO and co-owner, he led with vision, integrity, and a steady commitment to those around him.

Beyond his professional achievements, Darryl was known for his warmth, generosity, and sense of humor. He was a man of faith who loved his family, cared deeply for his community, and found joy in the simple things—golf, biking, travel, and good conversation.

This foundation reflects the heart of who he was. It exists to carry on his legacy by supporting causes that mattered most to him—mental health, faith, education, veterans, and strong communities. Through this work, we aim to honor his life by continuing the mission he believed in so deeply.
