In a state where mental health challenges among men often go unspoken, one Tulsa-based cycling initiative is shifting gears—and perspectives.
Project Dudeman is more than a men’s riding club. It’s a movement redefining what it means to show up, be present, and stay connected—not only to the road ahead, but to yourself and the people around you.
Riding for Resilience
Project Dudeman values connection and consistency over competition.

At the core, it's a gathering built around:
- Mental fitness
- Emotional honesty
- Shared experience
With every mile, riders are encouraged to leave behind the traditional pressures of performance and instead focus on presence and purpose.
Midwest Mental Health in Motion
Project Dudeman is rooted in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and draws support from Tulsa Tough, one of the region’s most celebrated cycling events. Through that partnership, the club taps into the city’s deep cycling culture.
It’s not just a group ride. It’s a movement to help men redefine strength—not as how much we push, but how deeply we connect.
We shift the idea of masculinity by slowing down and embracing the moments that matter. Because cycling isn’t just physical—it’s emotional. It’s spiritual. It’s social.

Ride On
This project started as something simple—a way to ride, reconnect, and reset. But for us, it’s more than just a cycling group. It’s a tribute. Darryl believed in the power of the trail to quiet the noise and bring people back to themselves. Project Dudeman isn’t about recreating what he did—it’s about honoring the way he showed up: present, joyful, and fully in the moment. This movement is our way of keeping that spirit alive and pushing it forward.
